Job Summary
Partner closely with teachers to orchestrate a stimulating, welcoming space where infants, toddlers, and preschoolers can play, learn, and grow. Support curriculum implementation by adapting the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum® to individual child needs. Prioritize safety by safeguarding children and addressing potential risks while meeting everyday needs like diapering, dressing, and feeding. Collaborate with center staff to drive retention and enrollment goals, and regularly update parents on progress using mobile apps and in-person discussions. Cultivate warm relationships with families and colleagues to foster an environment where learning and play coexist. Work full days with physical demands including lifting up to 40 pounds and outdoor exposure ranging from 20°F to 95°F.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- At least 18 years of age
- Meet state-specific guidelines for the role
- State and federal requirements including immunizations
- Employment physicals
- Required health and safety training
- Demonstrates full range of motion to stand and walk for extended periods of time without significant discomfort
- Safely lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds
- Reach, stretch with hands and arms
- Climb or balance
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Use a stool or ladder to reach high places as necessary
- Ability to supervise by sight and sound
- Work in temperatures ranging from 20°F with wind chill to 95°F
- Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy to perform essential job functions
