Job Summary
Assist the Lead Teacher with daily infant care routines, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and rest schedules. Provide a warm, responsive environment that supports infants' individual needs while engaging them in age-appropriate sensory, language, and developmental activities. Observe and respond to infants' cues, behaviors, and milestones, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom. Support classroom routines, transitions, and daily activities, and prepare learning materials. Communicate and collaborate effectively with teachers and staff, and follow all health, safety, and licensing guidelines. This role works closely with the teaching team to create a safe, nurturing foundation where infants feel secure during their earliest stages of development.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- High School Diploma or equivalent, English major preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with infants or young children in a childcare setting
- Understanding of basic infant care and early childhood development
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Patient, reliable, and attentive to children's needs
- Experience in an infant classroom, childcare center, or early learning environment
- Knowledge of responsive caregiving and infant development
- Ability to create a calm, nurturing, and consistent environment
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
