Job Summary
Partner closely with teachers to orchestrate a stimulating, welcoming space where infants, toddlers, and preschoolers can play, learn, and grow. Support curriculum implementation by adapting approaches to individual child needs, while prioritizing a safe, nurturing environment and safeguarding children at all times. Collaborate with center staff to drive retention and enrollment goals, and cultivate warm relationships with families by regularly updating parents on progress and milestones. Manage daily caregiving tasks including diapering, dressing, feeding, and grooming, while modeling strong social skills and conflict resolution. Work extended periods standing, lifting up to 40 pounds, and navigating outdoor temperatures ranging from 20°F to 95°F. Maintain full physical alertness and composure throughout the day.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- At least 18 years of age
- Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role
- Immunizations
- Employment physicals
- Required health and safety training
- Demonstrates full range of motion to stand and walk for extended periods of time without significant discomfort
- Safely lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds
- Reach, stretch with hands and arms
- Climb or balance
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Use a stool or ladder to reach high places as necessary
- Ability to supervise by sight and sound
- Most days, employee will be working a portion of the day outside in temperatures ranging from 20°F with wind chill to 95°F
- Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy to perform essential job functions
Desired Qualifications
