Job Summary
Assist Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and support children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement. Prepare classroom materials and maintain a safe, clean, inviting learning environment; supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster belonging. Communicate with families about progress and daily activities; adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations; support daily care routines to promote a nurturing learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Shows empathy and compassion for young children
- Works productively without supervision
- Basic understanding of child development
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
- Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements
