Job Summary
Assist in planning and carrying out individualized education plans and classroom activities; support each child's social, emotional, intellectual, language, and physical development in a nurturing environment; maintain confidentiality and accurate records; collaborate with the supervisor and Family Advocate; engage families through events and trainings; work in a team with other teachers and support staff to deliver high-quality programming.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or the equivalent with child development coursework leading to a Child Development Associate (CDA) certification
- CDA certification is required within two years of becoming employed as an Assistant Teacher
- A minimum of one year of related and progressively more responsible experience in a childcare setting is required
