Job Summary
Inspect children for signs of illness or injury upon arrival, supervise closely throughout the day, and provide developmentally appropriate activities while maintaining an inviting learning environment. Plan and implement lessons based on observed child interests, record anecdotal observations, and prepare daily schedules including outdoor playtime. Communicate directly with supervisors and parents, hold conferences on schedule, and maintain confidentiality regarding all children and families. Follow strict health and safety protocols, including hand washing, cleaning procedures, and fire safety inspections.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year relevant experience
- Warm, caring and outgoing personality
- Ability to work well with others
- Able to create and maintain positive relationships with children, parents and staff
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in childcare
- Health and Safety Trainings
- CDA Certificate
- Associate or higher Degree in Early Childhood Education
- Bilingual
