Job Summary
Provide individualized and small-group instruction in a community-based work setting while supporting students in developing vocational, social, workplace, and independent living skills. Reinforce classroom learning through practical, hands-on job experiences and assist instructional staff in evaluating student growth and readiness for employment. Monitor and document daily activities, attendance, and skill development using positive reinforcement and individualized teaching strategies to promote success. Coach students in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management while fostering positive relationships with students, coworkers, employers, and community partners.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to pass Drug and Background Screenings
- Experience in special education, workforce development, vocational training, transition or job coaching services
- Knowledge of positive behavior supports and instructional strategies
Desired Qualifications
- Job Coach Certification (Can obtain after employment)
