Job Summary
As an Assistant Guide at Guidepost Montessori in Katy, you will support a mixed-age Montessori classroom (Infant, Toddler, and Children’s House ages 3–6) by helping create a calm, engaging environment and assisting in preparing learning spaces and facilitating individualized and small-group activities. You’ll build warm, respectful relationships with children and families, collaborate with Lead Guides and teammates to foster a strong classroom community, observe and support each child’s development, and contribute to a supportive culture that promotes independence, curiosity, and joy. The role includes ongoing Montessori training through the Prepared Montessorian Institute, professional development, and opportunities for growth within a growing network of Guidepost schools, with a focus on early childhood education and inclusive EEO practices.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with children ages 3–6 in a school or childcare setting
- Interest in learning and growing within the Montessori approach (prior Montessori experience welcome but not required)
- Positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset
- Genuine love for working with young children
