Assistant Teacher - Full-Time

Job Summary
Lead fun, age-appropriate activities and learning experiences for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years while assisting the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing curriculum. Support children's social, emotional, and physical development by maintaining a safe, supervised environment and using positive guidance for behavior. Assist with daily routines including meals, hygiene, and transitions, while keeping the classroom clean and organized. Communicate with families to contribute to daily updates and help maintain required documentation and licensing standards. Work Monday through Friday from 10:30am to 5:45pm as part of a full-time 30-35 hour schedule.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Have a high school diploma or GED (or in progress)
- Have 1 year of childcare experience required
- Feel confident interacting with children and communicating with parents
- Be willing and able to complete required trainings (CPR/First Aid, Mandatory Reporter, etc.)
- Have reliable transportation and a strong commitment to being on time
- Be able to stay active throughout the shift and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to meet background check and health screening requirements
- Have a caring, patient, and positive approach to working with children
