Job Summary
The Assistant Teacher Floater will assist Lead Teachers in managing preschool classrooms for children ages 3-5 years. Requires at least 1 year of relevant childcare experience, and educational qualifications including a minimum of an associates degree or equivalent credentials.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a Certified Childcare Center with students ages 3-5 years old
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum ORO step 6
- 750 hours of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified Child Care Center or comparable
- Documentation of attaining at least step 6 in the Oregon Registry
- A minimum of an associates degree in relevant fields
- State or nationally recognized credential (e.g., CDA)
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual in Somali, Arabic, Swahili, Farsi, Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Cantonese, or American Sign Language
Additional Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in Oregon's Central Background Registry
