Job Summary
Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that promotes children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. Assist the Lead Teacher with lesson planning, curriculum implementation, documentation, and daily activities while preparing materials and maintaining routines for healthy habits. Provide positive guidance to build strong relationships with children and families, serving as Lead Teacher during absences to coordinate daily operations. Maintain communication with families and staff, complete required trainings, and follow mandated reporting responsibilities. Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week for 38 weeks with no evenings, weekends, or overtime required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must enroll in a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential program
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Basic computer skills including word processing and data entry
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and build positive relationships with children and families
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with initiative and sound judgment
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with young children in an early learning setting
