Job Summary
Assistant Teacher at The Learning Experience in Grand Rapids, MI. You’ll support Lead Teachers in implementing the LEAP curriculum, help create a safe, caring classroom, assist with activities and group play, support daily routines (meals, naptime, transitions), and foster strong relationships with families while ensuring licensing standards and classroom continuity. Opportunities for advancement and professional development are available; compensation is $16–$18 per hour with full-time schedule Monday–Friday.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; coursework in Early Childhood Education (ECE) preferred
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschoolers a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (training available)
- Must meet all state-specific childcare licensing requirements
