Job Summary
Support the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans, preparing learning materials, and providing individualized assistance to students based on their specific needs. Supervise students during transitions, mealtimes, and recess while fostering an inclusive atmosphere and reinforcing positive behavior. Assist with student mobility, self-care, and daily routines, maintaining classroom organization to ensure all materials and equipment remain accessible. Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents as necessary. This role requires the ability to lift 40 lbs, sit, stand, and walk actively throughout the day.
Required Qualifications
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field
- Prior experience working with children, preferably in an educational or childcare setting
- Patience
