Job Summary
Assist the Lead Teacher in delivering the Montessori curriculum and managing Kids Club Program activities before and after school. Prepare classroom materials, supervise daily routines including nap time and playground activities, and monitor all children to ensure their safety, health, and well-being. Create an engaging learning environment using Montessori pedagogy and attend parent events as requested. This role requires 2 years of Montessori experience, a high school diploma, and CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days. The position involves lifting up to 30 pounds, standing to monitor students, and sitting for extended periods during meetings. Shifts are 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years' experience in a Montessori school
- High school diploma/GED
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogen training
- Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds
- Capable of standing and walking around the school as needed
- Capable of sitting for extended periods of time
- Communicating effectively in spoken and written word
- Having adequate vision, hearing, and speaking levels
