Job Summary

Lead daily practices and coach at 15–25 swim meets throughout the season from September through July. Collaborate with Head Coach Tom Phillips to implement training plans that help swimmers "Swimm Smarter, Not Harder." Build nurturing relationships with athletes from Age Group to Seniors while maintaining constant supervision to ensure a safe learning environment. Mentor swimmers, develop seasonal goals, and communicate professionally with parents. Requires CPR, AED, First Aid, and Lifeguarding certifications, plus USA Swimming and YMCA credentials. Part-time role (20–25 hours/week) with up to 4 weeks of time off between sessions.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma
2+ years of swim coaching experience
CPR certification
AED certification
First Aid certification
Lifeguarding certification
Willingness to obtain USA Swimming credentials
Willingness to obtain YMCA Principles of Competitive Swimming credentials
Punctuality
Reliability
Clean CORI/SORI background check
Part-time availability (20–25 hours per week)
