Job Summary
Develop competitive swimming instruction for Novice to Age group teams and organize daily workouts. Provide motivation support and guidance while working hand-in-hand with the Head Coach. Attend swim meets and team functions as assigned. Collaborate effectively with other coaches and interact with swimmers, parents, and agency staff in a fast-paced environment. Assist in developing, organizing, and implementing the JCC Swim Team under the direction of the Head Swim Coach.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- Current American Red Cross First Aid Certification
- Current American Red Cross Community CPR certification, or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- One year or more of swim team experience preferred
- USA Coaching Certification Preferred
- Demonstrates knowledge of sound competitive swimming skills, and the ability to implement and teach these skills in a positive healthy manner
- Knowledge of basic exercise
- Knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability) preferred
