Job Summary
The Day Program Assistant Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operation of the My Day program, including maintaining staffing ratios, training and supervising Direct Support Professionals, managing caseloads, monitoring program quality, and ensuring client and family satisfaction, fiscal responsibility, and compliance with funding source and accreditation standards. Responsibilities include supporting participants in community activities and transportation, promoting individualized, person-centered activities and community integration, documenting progress toward Individual Support Plan goals, safeguarding rights and welfare, maintaining health and safety practices per OSHA/ADA guidelines, supervising staff, providing feedback and training on Therap documentation and Behavioral Support planning, ensuring accurate billing and monthly reporting, and coordinating daily operations (opening/closing, attendance, GER/ Therap entries). The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and a commitment to person-centered care within a developmental disability program; physical requirements include routine movement, potential lifting, driving for community outings, and adherence to safety and confidentiality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a High School diploma or verification of a GED
- Must obtain and maintain training and certification in CPR, First Aid, Level I Medication Administration, MANDT, Abuse & Neglect and Behavioral Support
- Must obtain a Class E driver's license during New Hire Orientation
- Must demonstrate safe practices and professional standards
- Must have knowledge of Life Unlimited organizational structure, policies and procedures, needs and preferences of persons supported
- Must demonstrate ability to write clean, accurate reports in a timely manner
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients
- Must Receive Seasonal Flu Vaccination
