Job Summary
Assistant Supervisor DO Services is a hands-on, first-level lead role that partners with a team of professionals, youth, and families to provide trauma-informed, family-driven services in various settings. The role focuses on creating a safe, nurturing environment to support development of life and social skills, providing guidance and mentorship to staff, addressing challenging behavior, coordinating schedules and activities, delegating tasks, ensuring ongoing staff development, and maintaining compliance with funder requirements and regulations. The position includes supervisory duties in the absence of the IRA’s Site Supervisor, and requires the ability to manage emergencies, documentation, and regulatory adherence, with physical demands including variable scheduling and potential climbing, lifting, and restraint duties as needed. Must have High School Diploma or GED, AMAP training, CPR within 60 days, and a NYS driver's license with clean record; compensation ranges from $23.00 to $31.00 hourly, depending on experience, with a minimum pay rate and a maximum pay rate within the stated range.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- AMAP training with CPR certification (or obtained within 60 days of hire)
- Unrestricted, valid NYS driver’s license with minimum 1 year of driving
- Ability to supervise and mentor staff, ensure documentation and compliance with funder requirements
- Experience with crisis intervention and behavior management
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and Hillside policies
