Job Summary
Direct wastewater line installation, maintenance, repair, and expansion projects by directing subordinate crews and confirming field conformance to specifications. Coordinate daily operations, including sequencing additions and modifications to the sanitary sewer system, while managing material ordering and emergency resource redirection. Oversee employee performance through appraisals, discipline, and training, and assist in budget estimation for the Wastewater Collection Division. Review completed work orders and overtime forms daily, and respond to emergency conditions by reallocating labor and supplies as necessary. Maintain all required licenses and certifications without interruption.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3-5 years sewer line, pipeline or general construction supervisory experience
- Know all wastewater laws and requirements for wastewater systems and requirements to deal with any violations
- Able to deal with the public and officials/representatives from all other agencies, including other municipalities and state and federal agencies
- Must be able to do related math calculations and know formulas and conversion tables
- Must have proven supervisory and management ability
- Valid Texas driver's license and a good driving record
- Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements
