Job Summary
The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for managing all aspects of the golf course and facility grounds, including crew management, leading safety meetings, pesticide/fertilizer applications, irrigation repair, drainage installation, daily course setup, and building maintenance. Candidates should have 1-3 years of turf grass management, 2+ years of golf course experience, and an Indiana Pesticide license within 6 months. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with basic computer proficiency in Word and Excel.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years turf grass management
- 2+ years of golf course experience required
- Indiana Pesticide license required within 6 months
- Must possess basic computer skills
- Must have a strong business aptitude and passion for the golf business
- Must be highly organized and efficient with a high attention to detail
- Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Supervisory experience preferred
- 2 or 4 year turf degree preferred
- GCSAA Member or apprentice preferred
- Knowledge of budgeting and expense management
