Job Summary
The Assistant Superintendent at Potomac Shores Golf Club works closely with the Superintendent to maintain the golf course's annual maintenance budget, supervise maintenance staff, and assist in planning and directing maintenance and construction projects. Key duties include overseeing turf management practices, ensuring equipment maintenance, coordinating procurement within budget, and managing departmental members. Applicants should possess a relevant degree and significant experience in agronomy or related fields, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, associate's degree or equivalent from a four- or two-year college; 3–4 year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience (degree preference in agronomy/horticulture/plant/soil science)
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, & Outlook
- Ability to obtain Virginia pesticide license within 6 months of employment
