Job Summary

Assistant Project Superintendent position in Greensboro, NC region. Responsibilities include producing look-ahead schedules and updating/creating the project master schedule in coordination with the project team; supervising safety and safety measures across all trades and performing safety audit checklists; directly supervising hourly field forces for trades such as carpentry, concrete, and general labor; coordinating procurement of materials for self-performed work; ensuring timely and accurate labor timesheets; producing and distributing daily reports; maintaining awareness of shop drawings and ensuring installations align with contract documents and submittals; assisting with the implementation and ongoing execution of the Quality Assurance Program; participating in jobsite meetings with subcontractors and Owner/Architect/Contractor to stay informed about schedule changes; may be assigned a small project as the sole superintendent or to close out a larger project; managing conflicts and disputes to develop mutually acceptable solutions aligned with contractual agreements; maintaining data in required information systems and utilizing required software; traveling to and from the construction site with majority on-site work; and meeting the organization’s goals through collaboration and effective communication. "Taken as a whole, the role emphasizes scheduling, safety leadership, field supervision, procurement coordination, QA/support, and active site engagement."

Required Qualifications

  • Five (5) or more years of work experience in construction or a related field
  • Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Procore experience
  • Building Information Modeling (BIM) knowledge
  • Microsoft Project proficiency
  • Ability to travel locally and some long-distance/overnight travel as needed
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the United States
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally
