Job Summary

Assistant Superintendent Teaching & Learning responsible for the vision, planning, implementation, operation, reliability and accountability of core curricula, assessment and instructional academic programs and for all Human Resource functions for all assigned certified/licensed employees to create a culture of accountability that achieves the best academic and developmental outcomes for each student. Key responsibilities include coordinating academics and operations with the Superintendent, preparing Board agenda items and reports, leading continuous improvement initiatives, developing policies and guidelines, co-chairing LPDC, managing personnel records and evaluations, planning staffing, overseeing district evaluation systems, directing staff development, ensuring compliance with contracts and laws (including Title IX), coordinating state and federal programs, data analysis for program improvement, and engaging with stakeholders. Knowledge, skills, and abilities emphasize strong communication, leadership, curriculum and instruction expertise, human resources management, contract knowledge, budget and compliance understanding, data-driven decision making, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will hold a Master’s degree or higher, possess an Ohio Superintendent license or ability to obtain it, and have 10+ years of educational experience with at least 5 years in administration. The position offers a two-year administrative contract, salary range $150,000-$165,000 plus incentive eligibility, comprehensive benefits, and is located in New Albany, Ohio.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher
  • Valid Ohio License/Certificate as a Superintendent or ability and willingness to obtain
  • Ten years or more successful experience in education with at least five years administrative experience at the building or District level in Human Resources, Staff Development, Curriculum, Assessment, Instruction, Data Analysis, Research, Multicultural Education, Planning
  • Such alternatives to the above as deemed appropriate by the Superintendent
