Assistant Superintendent - San Rafael Construction (Job Site)

Job Summary
Supervise MCRT Punch Carpenters and laborers while inspecting subcontractor work to ensure compliance with plans, codes, and quality standards. Develop relationships with building officials to schedule inspections and testing, then prepare punch lists to verify completion before acceptance. Monitor assigned trades, review plans for inconsistencies, and verify key dimensions and layouts. Assist in creating and updating project schedules, managing material ordering and storage, and maintaining organized documentation. Notify the Project Superintendent of non-performing subcontractors and project risks including safety, logistics, and change orders. Participate in weekly safety meetings and third-party inspections, ensuring all responses to exceptions are addressed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the multi-family construction industry
- Ability to use a personal computer
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to communicate well in English both written and verbally
- Ability to use general office equipment, such as telephone, fax machine, printer, scanner and copier
- Knowledge of construction procedures
- Knowledge of building codes
- Knowledge of rough trade work
- Knowledge of federal codes for Handicap
