Job Summary
Direct instructional and curriculum services to meet students' needs by applying research and data to improve teaching-learning outcomes. Lead the Curriculum and Instruction Department by developing, maintaining, and revising curriculum documents, selecting instructional materials, and ensuring technology integration. Chair district-level decision-making processes to establish goals and objectives while supervising department staff, Special Education, and Technology Directors. Plan and oversee staff development activities, administer the curriculum budget, and coordinate state-required testing programs including benchmarking and credit by exam. Implement federal, state, and local policies while communicating district mission and instructional strategies to parents and community members.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in education administration
- Superintendent certification
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Knowledge of state assessment requirements
- Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness
- Ability to manage budget and personnel
- Ability to implement policy and procedures
- Ability to interpret data
- Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
- Five years successful administration experience in public schools
- Frequent districtwide and occasional statewide travel
- Occasional prolonged and irregular hours
