Job Summary
Strategic, collaborative HR leader responsible for system-level human resource practices across Horizon School Division. Key duties include advisory support to principals and division leaders on staffing, employee relations, and performance management; interpretation and consistent application of policies and collective agreements; support for recruitment and retention, workforce planning, and practicum coordination; facilitating professional learning in HR practices for school leaders; monitoring trends and risks to recommend improvements; and collaboration with other departments to ensure divisional alignment and consistency. Requires education leadership experience, eligibility for LEADS, and a strong grounding in educational HR practices and relevant legislation.
Required Qualifications
- At least two (2) years of proven, effective leadership experience as a school principal.
- Eligible for a Saskatchewan teaching certificate
- Masters of Education or a related graduate degree that allows eligibility for LEADS membership
- Demonstrated understanding of human resource practices in an educational setting
- Knowledge of The Saskatchewan Employment Act, The Education Act, and Human Rights legislation is considered an asset
- Experience with collective agreements, employee relations, and performance management is considered an asset
- CHRP or SHRP designation would be considered an asset
