Job Summary
Oversee on-site construction activities for the Ontario Line South Civil package on night shift, assisting the General Superintendent or Superintendent in coordinating daily on-site operations to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans and specifications. Responsible for managing scheduling, manpower, materials, and subcontractors, maintaining site documentation, resolving on-site issues, enforcing the Project Specific Safety Program and HS&E standards, and interacting with consultants, trades, and other stakeholders. Lead and supervise a large team of trades and subcontractors, monitor progress, prepare cost reports, and support budgeting and reporting duties. Shift is Monday to Friday, 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM (EDT).
Required Qualifications
- Post secondary education in Construction Management or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
- Minimum 5+ years of civil construction experience as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, general foreman or similar role
- Proficient knowledge of scheduling, cost control, safety regulations, quality control and engineering drawings
- Experience in civil works (concrete pours, falsework, formwork, waterproofing, rebar, etc.) and SOE is an asset
