Assistant Superintendent - New Construction

Job Summary
Coordinate with the Site Superintendent to prepare project schedules, allocate resources, and monitor subcontractor progress to ensure on-time delivery. Assist in maintaining a safe jobsite by enforcing safety manuals, attending safety meetings, and documenting subcontractor compliance. Supervise onsite hourly employees, review project plans, and identify scope gaps or errors to prevent omissions. Lead inspections with governing jurisdictions, manage RFIs and submittals, and maintain daily photo documentation and punch lists. Assist in creating delivery schedules, managing field directives, and following up on meeting minute issues. Work with the Superintendent to plan site traffic and space usage for personnel and vehicles. This role is part of DevCo Residential's mission to develop high-quality multifamily housing, specifically a 341-unit garden-style build in Bozeman, MT.
Required Qualifications
- Ground Up Multifamily Construction Project Experience
- Garden Style, Podium, Wrap and/or Open Courtyard and Urban Mid-Rise Project Experience
- Strong reputation for working well with subcontractors
- Ability to create strong relationships with stakeholders
- Manage entire process from start to finish - including site clearing, earth work, underground utilities, site planning/logistics, managing/leading the entire field team on the site, walking the site regularly, holding weekly meetings, scheduling, evaluating performance, & communicating with Site Superintendent
- 3-5 years work experience in multifamily site supervision with proven ability to use multiple types of software to efficiently manage projects
- LIHTC Garden Style multifamily experience
- Must be able to speak, read and write English in a manner sufficient to carry out duties
- Successful completion of background check and drug screen
- Must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. meeting I-9 guidelines
Desired Qualifications
- 4-year degree in a construction related field or commensurate field experience preferred
