Job Summary

Assistant Superintendent responsible for coordinating and supervising subcontractors and craft teams within a construction discipline. Responsibilities include managing project labor, monitoring weekly labor reports, reviewing and approving craft worker certifications and trainings, conducting site orientation and safety meetings, coordinating timecards, participating in hire/dismissal of craft workers, overseeing on-site operations/scope of work (equipment, labor, schedule), guiding setup and demobilization activities, supporting project managers on schedule development and updates, coordinating with equipment providers, reviewing quantity takeoffs and materials management during buyout, managing Production and Innovation Boards and Plan of Day activities, supporting safety audits and quality control, and evaluating craft worker performance. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a related field, minimum 3 years of construction management experience, a current driver's license, interest in electrician programs, potential electrical qualification, and ability to travel up to 100%. The role is based in Salt Lake City, UT, with a base pay range of $95,700 to $129,200, and visa sponsorship is not offered.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years construction management or related experience
  • Current driver's license
  • Completion of or interest in Master, Journeyman, or Apprentice electrician program preferred
  • Electrical circuitry qualified or ability to be qualified by Mortenson Electrical Managers, if necessary
  • Ability to travel up to 100%
