Job Summary
Execute detailed action plans and schedules with the Site Manager to ensure project delivery on time and on budget. Coordinate subcontractor activities, labor, equipment, and materials while reviewing project plans, specifications, and design intent. Interpret working drawings to ensure compliance, maintain a daily job history log, and exercise legal due diligence for risk mitigation. Liaise with all stakeholders including the Project Manager, Landlord, Client, and Consultants to manage performance, quality, and efficiency. Create a safe work environment by enforcing Health & Safety guidelines and legislation. Perform rough carpentry tasks such as cutting, patching, and trenching, and assist with project close-out activities including permits and site cleanup.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of two (2) years of assisted construction management experience or proven experience in the industry and ability to step into this expanded role
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
- Understanding of applicable health and safety and construction-related legislation
- Exceptional time management to prioritize activities and allocate resources effectively
- High degree of integrity, honesty and ethics
- Computer efficiency
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the Commercial Construction/Interior fit-up industry preferred
- Procore is an asset
