Job Summary
Assist the Superintendent in managing field activities for construction jobs of various sizes, independently overseeing small jobs of normal complexity. Coordinate subcontractor performance regarding quality and timeliness, while conducting safety orientations and coordination meetings. Monitor on-site construction progress, quality, and safety; enforce quality control and safety procedures; and resolve project-specific issues in conjunction with the Project Superintendent. Prepare material, equipment, and tool requirements for ordering and perform construction layout responsibilities. Acquire knowledge of project plans and specifications, assist with weekly schedule changes, and participate in the Safety and Health Management System by committing to safe work practices and eliminating hazards.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field position, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 2-5 years of experience
- Experience with construction management software
- Experience and knowledge of commercial construction means and methods
- Application of LEED certifications
- Thorough understanding of industry practices
- High level of integrity, fairness, care, and concern
- Some periodic travel
