Job Summary
The Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum/Instruction leads instructional policy development and implementation, directs curriculum and instruction programs, coordinates the work of curriculum directors, oversees textbook adoptions and budget needs, and collaborates with teachers, administrators and parents to develop an effective school calendar and professional development. The role represents the county at regional and state meetings and ensures successful operation of instructional programs across adult education, GED testing, vocational/technical education, and summer schools. Requires West Virginia Professional Administrative Certificate and a master's degree related to the public school program, with at least five years of school administrative experience.
