Assistant Superintendent (Commercial Construction)

Job Summary
Manage assigned trades and areas of work alongside the Superintendent, Project Manager, and team to oversee field operations, site safety, schedule/productivity, and quality. Participate in pre-construction processes to develop baseline schedules and site utilization plans, while managing subcontractor scopes for timely delivery. Prepare meeting agendas and minutes for weekly foreman meetings, resolve day-to-day field issues, and assist with labor management for laborers and carpenters. Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, three years of commercial construction experience, OSHA 30 certification, and proficiency in Primavera or MS Project. Full-time direct hire in the D.C. Metro Area with a Monday-Friday 6am-3pm shift.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or relevant field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry (in multi-family and commercial)
- OSHA 30 & First Aid/CPR/AED certified
- Action oriented leader
- organized
- good time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills required (email, Microsoft Office)
- scheduling software experience (Primavera or MS Project)
