Job Summary
Lead daily planning, scheduling, and execution of golf course maintenance operations while mentoring and developing 25+ team members in a culture of accountability. Assist with irrigation management, fertilizer and pesticide applications, cultural practices, tournament preparation, and course setup. Collaborate with the Golf Course Superintendent to develop agronomic plans, participate in Green Committee meetings, and take ownership of projects to improve course conditions. Gain exposure to budgeting, capital planning, and strategic decision-making through increasing responsibility and industry conference attendance. This year-round leadership role requires a rotating weekend schedule, with summer months averaging 50–60 hours and flexibility during tournaments or special events.
Required Qualifications

- Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field
- Experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Second Assistant Superintendent, Spray Technician, Foreman, or another golf course maintenance leadership role ready to take the next step
- California Qualified Applicator License (QAL) or Qualified Applicator Certificate (QAC), or the ability to obtain either within six months of hire
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Passion for developing people and producing exceptional playing conditions
