Job Summary
Drive a company vehicle safely while maintaining a valid driver's license and completing annual Motor Vehicle Reports. Apply sound turf management practices including scheduling, calibration of plant protectants, irrigation, and renovation projects to maintain the golf course. Provide leadership to associates by training employees, assigning work, appraising performance, and resolving complaints. Work closely with Assistant and Head Superintendents to supervise activities and resources according to predetermined standards. Gain exposure to all facets of the operation with a focus on attention to detail and a positive attitude.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled or graduate of a Certificate, 2 or 4 year program in turf grass management related degree
- 1 year related experience through internships and/or co-ops
- NC Pesticide License
- Ability to attain NC Pesticide License within 6 months of hire
- Valid driver's license
- Successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
- Ability to complete annual MVRs according to company guidelines
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to talk or hear
- Ability to climb or balance
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
