Job Summary

Conduct daily coaching for STUNT and Cheer student-athletes, delivering instruction in stunting, tumbling, and performance routines while planning practices and competitions. Assist with recruiting efforts, including coordinating visits, tryouts, and camps, alongside managing team logistics such as travel itineraries, equipment inventory, and scheduling. Ensure compliance with NCAA regulations and monitor academic progress, while representing the university at community outreach, alumni events, and public appearances. Maintain certifications and safety standards, working evenings and weekends as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • One year of college coaching and recruiting experience and/or experience at a highly competitive high school or club system
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid certification in STUNT
  • Current USA Cheer membership
  • Ability to obtain certification within 30 days of employment
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

  • Ability to demonstrate and instruct collegiate cheer & stunt skills, including stunting, tumbling, jumps, and conditioning activities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, spot athletes, and actively participate in practices, games, competitions, and events for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, carry, load, and move equipment, mats, signage, uniforms, and practice materials up to 50lbs with or without assistance
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, wind, humidity, and elevated noise levels during athletic events and practices
  • Ability to safely spot and assist student-athletes during practices and performances
  • Ability to work up to 50% or more travel for competitions, recruiting, camps, conferences, and community engagement events
  • Ability to work beyond normal office hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel days
  • Ability to perform tasks safely without injury to self or others in compliance with System and University safety requirements

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • Three years of college coaching and recruiting experience and/or experience at a highly competitive high school or club system
  • NCAA recruiting certification
  • CPR certification
  • First Aid certification
  • AED certification
