Job Summary
As Assistant Store Manager at Arc’teryx in Central Valley, NY, you lead a team in partnership with the Store Manager to deliver best-in-class guest experiences, develop a high-performing team of product guides, and uphold the brand’s vision, values, and community presence. You coach and train staff, manage onboarding through offboarding, support floor leadership 5 days a week, identify leadership talent pipelines, and drive store operations, events, and community engagement to strengthen guest loyalty. You’ll balance autonomy with collaboration, apply financial acumen to budgeting and forecasting, and role-model exceptional service while empowering your team to use their best judgment. You’ll contribute to staffing plans, collaborate on events with marketing, and ensure the store meets its bold objectives in-store and in the community.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of leadership and retail management experience
- dynamic leadership skills with ability to recruit, hire, train, lead, motivate, retain and develop future leaders
- entrepreneurial spirit and adaptability
- passion for service and delivering exceptional guest experiences
- financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting sales, gross margin, expense control, and net profit
- clear vision and ability to align team around goals
- strong written and verbal communication
- excellent time management and problem-solving ability
- proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- availability to work varied shifts including holidays
