Job Summary
Lead the store team to create an exceptional customer experience and exceed sales goals by maintaining presence across all store areas and ensuring adequate staffing. Serve as a role model for sales associates while coaching staff on product knowledge, selling skills, and service principles using Selling Essentials. Manage client service issues including delivery and pick-up through effective use of the client information reporting system. Ensure a positive, fair environment aligned with the People-First Philosophy. Requires 2-3 years of retail sales or customer service management experience, strong leadership and critical thinking skills, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Full-time associates have open availability; part-time Flex associates must work minimum weekend and weekday shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication, organization and leadership skills
- Superior critical thinking skills to creatively identify challenges and develop action plans in a timely manner
- Great time management skills and ability to execute multiple tasks and appropriately manage competing priorities
- 2-3 years of previous retail sales experience or management experience in a customer service related field
- Must be able to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 lbs., while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
- Full time associates are expected to have open availability to meet the needs of the business
- Part-Time Flex associates must be available to work a minimum of two regularly scheduled shifts on the weekend (Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday) and two during the week (Monday to Thursday)
- For an associate to be scheduled 20 hours or more weekly, greater availability (beyond the minimum required above) that meets the needs of the business will be required
- Weekend availability cannot fall on the same day; an associate must be available on two separate days (Friday and Saturday, Friday and Sunday or Saturday and Sunday)
