Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager (Full-Time, Doncaster, AU) leads store operations and team performance, delivers exceptional customer experiences, coaches staff to achieve sales targets, executes visual merchandising and promotional directives, assists with inventory insights, and upholds the Universal Store culture. The role requires retail leadership experience, a strong sales orientation, excellent communication, and hands-on management in a fast-paced environment, including a Sunday–Thursday roster with late-night trade. Reporting to the Store Manager, you’ll drive store standards, customer service, and brand presentation while developing pathways toward Store Manager roles.
Required Qualifications
- Previous leadership experience in retail (Shift Supervisor / 2IC)
- Strong sales focus with ability to motivate and lead a team
- Warm, confident communicator with excellent customer service skills
- Strong operational understanding — VM, stock, store standards
- Flexible, hands-on, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and commitment to brand presentation
