Assistant Store Manager

Manage store operations and supervise personnel by creating a hospitable environment, ensuring compliance with accounting and store policies, and meeting sales and budget goals. Assist the manager in training new staff, conducting performance evaluations, and scheduling associates to maintain full coverage. Handle merchandise ordering, cash receipts, and payroll information while ensuring safety measures align with Salvation Army and government regulations. In the absence of the manager, post weekly schedules, attend meetings, and keep staff informed of new directives. This role supports the work therapy program component by providing beneficiaries with an example of professional conduct.
