Assistant Store Manager

Assist the Store Manager with managing store operations, including creating a pleasant work environment, ensuring compliance with accounting and store policies, and meeting sales and budget goals. Supervise store personnel by receiving applications, conducting interviews, training new staff, and performing regular evaluations. Schedule sales associates and unpaid staff to ensure full coverage, complete biweekly payroll information, and order merchandise to maintain proper stock levels. Handle cash receipts, submit daily sales reports to finance, and ensure all safety measures align with The Salvation Army policy and government regulations. This role supports the work therapy program by providing beneficiaries with an example of professional conduct while maintaining a profitable operation.
