Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in managing store operations, staff, and customer experience to achieve sales goals and maintain high customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include supervising and leading store staff (scheduling, training, development, coaching), ensuring efficient store operations, inventory ordering/receiving and stock checks, resolving customer complaints, maintaining cleanliness and visual merchandising, and promoting quality customer service. The role requires strong customer service, inventory understanding, profitability awareness, effective communication with Store Manager, staff, and customers, knowledge of company policies, and the ability to coach retail leads and sales assistants. This position is part of the North American expansion and involves opening the brand-new store at the Toronto Premium Outlets.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in retail management or supervisory Retail role
- Ability to supervise and develop store staff (scheduling, training, coaching)
- Strong customer service skills and focus on delivering positive customer experiences
- Ability to manage inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks
- Understanding of visual merchandising and store presentation
- Ability to meet sales goals and contribute to profitability
- Strong communication skills with Store Manager, staff, and customers
- Knowledge of store policies and procedures and ensuring compliance
- Ability to coach and develop leads and sales assistants
- Experience with resolving customer issues professionally and timely
- Flexible scheduling and collaborative team player
- Ability to work in a brand-new store environment (Toronto Premium Outlets)
- Experience with basic financial performance awareness
