Job Summary
As Assistant Store Manager at TJX, you will drive store performance by supporting sales results, managing expenses, and overseeing merchandising, backroom, frontline, cash office, customer service, markdowns, scheduling, shipping, and receiving, with a strong focus on minimizing shrink and damages. You will attract, recruit, and develop top talent, mentor Associates, and create a positive environment for both staff and customers. You’ll implement action plans for projects and company initiatives, contribute to succession planning, and coordinate loss prevention and operational programs to improve store layout and efficiency. The role requires leadership experience, strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in store operations, and a dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and empower a large team
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with ability to influence and provide effective feedback and mentorship to others
- Proficient in store operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention, with strong follow-through skills to successfully implement tasks and initiatives
