Job Summary
As an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll drive store performance by supporting sales targets, managing expenses, and overseeing operations across merchandising, backroom, frontline, cash office, customer service, markdowns, scheduling, shipping, and receiving, with a focus on shrink reduction. You’ll attract, recruit, and develop Associates, mentor teams, and implement action plans for projects and company initiatives. You’ll contribute to succession planning, execute strategies to meet sales and service goals, coordinate loss prevention and operational programs, and optimize store layout and processes to improve efficiency while fostering an inclusive, collaborative work environment. The role requires retail leadership experience, strong people-management skills, and proficiency in operations, merchandising, customer service, and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and empower a large team
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in store operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention
