Job Summary
As Assistant Store Manager, drive store performance by supporting sales results and overseeing key operations such as merchandising, backroom, frontline, cash office, customer service, markdowns, scheduling, shipping, and receiving, with a focus on minimizing shrink. Attract, recruit, and cultivate top talent; provide comprehensive training and ongoing development for Associates, and serve as a mentor to create a positive experience for both Associates and customers. Implement action plans for projects, targets, and company initiatives; contribute to succession planning; coordinate loss prevention and other operational programs; and continuously improve store layout and efficiency. Be part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment within TJX’s Marshalls store network, upholding integrity, respect, and teamwork while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and empower a large team
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with ability to influence and provide effective feedback and mentorship to others
- Proficient in store operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention
