Job Summary
As an Assistant Store Manager at TJX (HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, Marshalls) you will drive store performance by supporting sales targets, managing expenses, and overseeing merchandising, backroom, frontline operations, cash office, customer service, markdowns, scheduling, and receiving with a focus on reducing shrink and damages. You will recruit, train, and mentor Associates, foster an inclusive, high-energy environment, communicate action plans for company initiatives, and contribute to succession planning to meet future store needs. You’ll implement strategies to achieve sales, expense, and customer-service goals, coordinate loss-prevention and operational programs, and optimize store layout and efficiency. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of retail leadership experience, strong leadership and coaching abilities, and proficiency across store operations, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention. The position is full-time with a starting pay range of $22.70 to $31.20 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and empower a large team
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with ability to influence and provide effective feedback and mentorship to others
- Proficient in store operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention, with strong follow-through skills to successfully implement tasks and initiatives
