Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager at TJX Companies leads and develops a large retail team to achieve sales, efficiency, and customer-service targets. Responsibilities include driving store performance through merchandising, backroom and frontline operations, scheduling, shipping/receiving, and shrink control; recruiting and training Associates; mentoring to foster a positive, engaging environment for staff and customers; implementing action plans for projects and company initiatives; contributing to succession planning; and coordinating loss-prevention and layout improvements. Must have demonstrated retail leadership experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in store operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and empower a large team
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in store operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention
