Job Summary
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for delivering outstanding service through the Hi Five Guest Experience, managing associates, ensuring store conditions, and complying with operations standards. Key functions include coaching team members, overseeing store administration and guest services, operating the point of sale system, stocking merchandise, enhancing security measures, and maintaining store cleanliness. Essential skills required include effective communication, basic arithmetic abilities, and physical stamina to manage store operations.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, hear, and understand spoken English effectively with customers
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment
- Ability to prepare DipSide items
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons, and food stamps
- Ability to recognize numbers, count, and do arithmetic
- Ability to move merchandise from storage to displays
- Ability to clean counters and other surfaces
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as -30 degrees Fahrenheit and +33 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to raise at least 10 pounds from floor level to a height of 5 feet
- Ability to place an 8” x 10” x 10” package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet
