Job Summary
The Assistant Store Manager oversees the delivery of outstanding customer service by leading staff in executing the Hi Five Guest Experience, ensuring operational compliance with company policies. Key responsibilities include managing associate performance, administering store tasks, maintaining store conditions, providing customer service, operating the point of sale system, stocking merchandise, and ensuring safety and security protocols. Candidates must have strong communication skills, be able to handle monetary transactions, and manage physical tasks associated with the role.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment
- Ability to prepare DipSide items
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps
- Ability to recognize numbers, count and do arithmetic accurately
- Ability to move merchandise from storage to shelves/displays/freezers
- Ability to clean counters and other surfaces
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as –30 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as +33 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to raise at least 10 pounds from floor level to a height of 5 feet
- Ability to place an 8” x 10” x 10” package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet

- Must be legally qualified under applicable state laws to conduct all sales transactions including alcohol and tobacco sales
