Job Summary
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for ensuring outstanding service to guests by managing associates, maintaining store conditions, and complying with regulations. Key duties include staff management, guest services, store administration, and operational efficiency of the point of sale system. The role requires effective communication, the ability to handle financial transactions accurately, maintain store cleanliness, and ensure security procedures are followed. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to perform physical tasks, operate equipment, and work in varying temperature conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English effectively
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment and identify documents
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment
- Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies from dip cabinets
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps accurately
- Ability to recognize numbers, count and perform arithmetic for records
- Ability to move merchandise and place for proper display
- Ability to clean counters and other surfaces
- Ability to tolerate temperatures as low as –30 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to tolerate temperatures as low as +33 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to raise at least 10 pounds from floor level to a height of 5 feet
- Ability to place a package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet 3 feet above the floor
